What types of gutter guards do you install?
We install a variety of options, including mesh, screen, and solid cover guards, depending on your home’s needs. For Chesapeake’s pine needles and heavy rain, we often recommend stainless-steel micro-mesh on a rigid aluminum frame, sized for 5″ or 6″ K-style gutters and backed by a no-clog warranty.
Will gutter guards overflow during heavy Chesapeake rain?
Quality guards paired with the right-sized system won’t. We recommend 6″ K-style gutters on longer roof runs, adequate downspout capacity, valley splash diverters, and high-flow micro-mesh. During installation we tune slope, add outlets where needed, and verify throughput so your gutter covers handle local downpours without sheets of water overshooting.
Can you install gutter guards on my existing gutters, or do I need new ones?
Often, yes, if your current gutters are properly pitched, not rusted, and securely fastened. We clean, reseal, and realign as needed before adding guards. If sections are dented, sagging, or undersized, we’ll recommend replacement (often to 6″) first so the leaf guards perform as intended and warranties remain valid.
Do gutter guards void my roof warranty?
Properly installed guards do not void shingle warranties. We use manufacturer-approved attachment methods (e.g., mounting to the fascia or gutter lip) to avoid penetrating shingles where required. Our team follows both guard and roofing manufacturer guidelines, protecting your roof warranty while delivering a no-clog gutter protection system.
